The Ten Commandments have had an extremely significant impact on our world. But because we’re so used to the relative civility that they’ve embedded in humanity over the last 3,500 years, it’s easy to take for granted that our world has been and is profoundly shaped by the ten commandments. It’s hard for us to imagine a world unlike the only one we’ve ever experienced in our lifetime. But in the time God gave Israel His commandments, the world was not civil, it deeply corrupt, unjust, violent and lawless. Today, we don’t see the Ten Commandments as radical, we’re used to them, but 3,500 years ago, they were radical. But all of this presupposes that the Ten Commandments are just a list of rules to follow, but they’re not just that. So what are we missing? We know what they ARE? But what do they MEAN? This study will answer all of your questions and continue to give us a clearer vision of who Jesus is and what he has done for us!
